The LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games present a pivotal opportunity to improve our city’s investments in transit connections, affordable housing, economic development, and accessible public spaces. This week, Practice hosted Chris Torres, RLA of Agency Artifact to discuss how design plays a critical role in these improvements.
Chris presented a concept led by Agency Artifact, Move LA, FASTLinkDTLA and Somos Group for the 2028 Olympic Games: the Festival Trail. This 22-mile, car-free, zero-emission corridor would connect major Olympic venues from LAX to the Rose Bowl. The proposal, shaped through over 150 stakeholder meetings, represents one of our core values—co-creation.
Together, we explored visions for Los Angeles ahead of the Olympics and discussed the importance of engaging diverse perspectives in the design process to create meaningful, lasting solutions. We look forward to seeing how Los Angeles will use this opportunity to enhance public infrastructure and improve the quality of life for all residents.
