Originally opened in 1905, the culturally significant campus has been central to Inglewood’s community for generations. Spurred on by a highly engaged and enthusiastic community, the Inglewood Unified School District recently passed an overwhelmingly successful bond campaign to fund such campus renovations. The updated campus will include new classroom buildings, science labs, student center, MPR, Career Technical Education Center, administration offices, renovation of the existing auditorium, and a much needed regreening of campus open spaces and outdoor learning environments. We are truly grateful for the trust given by the Inglewood Unified School District community and the rare opportunity to provide a holistic 21st-century educational campus for future generations of leaders and community members. We conducted a series of collaborative programming and masterplan sessions with a steering committee comprised of faculty, staff, parents, students, alumni and District staff toward developing a new vision for the school. The project is currently in development with a grand reopening scheduled for early 2028 to coincide with the Olympics in Los Angeles.
